Total employment in Switzerland rose 1.3% in the second quarter of 2024, compared to the same trimester a year earlier, the country's Federal Statistical Office said in a report on Monday. Calculated in full-time equivalents, jobs increased 1.4%.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the number of employees in companies climbed by 0.1% compared to the previous quarter.
Swiss companies reported job vacancies were down 16.2% year on year, reaching a total of 20,000.
