Total employment in Switzerland rose 1.9% in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the same trimester a year earlier, the country's Federal Statistical Office said in a report on Friday. Calculated in full-time equivalents, jobs increased 1.7%.

According to the report, employment in the industrial and construction sector grew by 1.3%, adding 15,100 jobs, while the services sector registered a strong year-on-year increase of 2.1% or 87,200 jobs.
