Swiss producer, import prices down by 0.1% in July

The Swiss Producer and Import Price Index observed a monthly decline of 0.1% to come in at 109.0 points in July, the country's Federal Statistical Office (Bundesamt) said in its report published on Tuesday.

The report noted a drop in the prices of basic metals, semi-finished metals, steel and light metal frameworks, petroleum, and natural gas, among other things. Meanwhile, there was an increase in the prices of petroleum products, watches, meat, and meat products.

On an annual level, the index went down by 0.6%.
