Switzerland's trade surplus stood at 2.6 billion Swiss francs in July, the country's Federal Customs Administration said in a report on Tuesday.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, exports dropped 5.7% compared to the previous month to 20.6 billion Swiss francs and imports fell 3.3% to 18 billion Swiss francs.
Exports to North America slid 11.7% as exports to the United States plunged by 12.9%, while exports to Asia were down 7.6% and exports to Europe declined 4%. Meanwhile, imports from Asia rose 0.5% and imports from North America decreased 0.9%, while those from Europe plunged 5.1%.
