Switzerland's trade surplus reached 4.3 billion Swiss francs in February, the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) revealed in a report published on Thursday.
Compared to the previous month, exports increased by 6.6% in nominal terms to 24.37 billion Swiss francs. Imports jumped by 7% to 20.09 billion Swiss francs..
Exports to North America rose by 9.1% month-on-month, and those to Europe by 6.6%. Meanwhile, the ones to Asia declined by 0.5%. Imports from North America decreased by 5.3%, while those from Europe and Asia grew by 7.8% and 4.2%, respectively.
