At least 340 civilians were killed in Syria's coastal regions by regime forces, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) Director Rami Abdulrahman said on Saturday.
"Every hour we discover a new massacre in the Syrian coast," the director stated, adding that the murdered civilians are Alawites. "The number may exceed 1000 civilians killed by direct bullets by the fighters who were brought to the Syrian coast. We monitor, document and publish everything that happens. In Baniyas, we documented the killing of 60 civilians, including 10 women and 5 children, while 31 people, including 9 children, were killed in al-Tuwaima," Abdulrahman said.
Moreover, he stressed that even though the "so-called" rebellion of groups loyal to the ousted President Bashar Al-Assad has ended, massacres against Alawite civilians continue.
