Syrian army allegedly withdraws from Defense Ministry

Syrian government forces have supposedly withdrawn from the Defense Ministry headquarters in Damascus, Al Jazeera Arabic reported, citing Syrian rebel forces.

The report came shortly after President Bashar al-Assad boarded a plane and fled the country, according to Syria TV.
