Taiwan's Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that a lieutenant colonel surnamed Hsieh and several other people have been arrested over allegedly leaking military secrets and other information to China.
"The Ministry of National Defense is saddened and severely condemns the small number of unscrupulous people who violated the duty of defending the country and committed such crimes as betraying the people of the country," the ministry stated.
According to a report by the Taipei Times, Hsieh is also accused of developing a spy organization made up of current and former Taiwanese military members.
