The island of Taiwan is offering a zero-tariff agreement to the United States, Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te revealed in a video message on Sunday.
He further remarked that Taiwan doesn't plan to take retaliatory measures, adding that investments in the US will not be affected.
"In the future, in addition to TSMC's increased investment, other industries, such as electronics, information and communications, petrochemicals, and natural gas will be able to increase investment in the US and deepen Taiwan-U.S. industrial cooperation," Lai commented.
