Taliban General Directorate of Intelligence has been holding three United Kingdom citizens in custody since January, British media reported on Saturday.

"Charity medic" Kevin Cornwell and another unidentified British national who runs a hotel in Kabul have reportedly been detained after Cornwell was accused of possessing an illegal handgun at the same hotel.

The UK media did not report about the reason behind the arrest of social media figure and "danger tourist" Miles Routledge, who had been previously evacuated from Afghanistan by the British military in August 2021 when the Taliban took over the country again.
