Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS, agreed to pay United States President Donald Trump up to $30 million to settle his election interference lawsuit against the network, Fox News reported.
Trump will get $16 million upfront to cover legal costs and support his library or charities. The rest may fund conservative ads and public messages, according to the report. CBS also agreed to a new rule requiring full, unedited transcripts of presidential candidate interviews, known as the "Trump Rule."
Trump initially sought $20 billion over a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris, accusing CBS of harming his campaign.
