Tesla posts record high sales in China - report

Tesla Inc's sales figure hit a record high in China in March, with 10,160 vehicles sold, according to a report by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on Thursday.

Electric car maker's Model 3 sedan has been the highest selling model, with 30% cars sold out of all battery vehicles produced from Tesla's $2 billion Shanghai factory, CPCA secretary-general Cui Dongshu stated briefing the media.

The March sales report showed a steady increase in sales in 2020, as according to CPCA data Tesla sold around 3,900 vehicles in February, up from 2,620 units in January.
