Tesla prices Model Y in India starting from $69.7K

Tesla Inc. revealed on Tuesday that its Model Y's price in India will begin from 5.99 million rupees ($69,700), which will be the pre-tax price of the rear-wheel drive version.

The long range rear-wheel drive version will start at 6.79 million rupees. The electric carmaker is set to open its first showroom in India in Mumbai this week, while its second showroom is expected to open in New Delhi before the end of the month.

In the United States, the Model Y long range rear-wheel drive begins at $44,990.
