The German Federal Prosecutor's office shared on Monday that three German citizens were arrested under the "strong" suspicion of having conspired with the Chinese secret service, Spiegel reported.

According to the media, the three suspected individuals are believed to have disclosed details regarding military technology to Beijing, particularly concerning advanced machinery components applicable to naval engines like those found in combat vessels. In addition, the three suspects are accused of having procured a "special laser" in Germany and unlawfully exporting the device to China.

The individuals will now be brought before the Federal Court of Justice to decide on the pre-trial detention, Spiegel added.
