ThyssenKrupp AG said on Tuesday that its sales in its fiscal 2023/2024 plunged 7% compared to the previous year to land at €35 billion. In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, sales were unchanged from last year at €8.8 billion.

EBITDA came in at €107 million, dropping 62% year on year, and adjusted EBIT amounted to €151 million. For full fiscal 2023/2024, the group's net loss attributable to shareholders amounted to €1.5 billion, or €2.42 per share, which it attributed mainly to a €1.billion impairment on its steel division.
"Despite the very challenging market conditions, we achieved a respectable result in the past fiscal year, continued implementing the transformation of the thyssenkrupp group with great determination and made key progress," CEO Miguel Lopez stated.
