Tokyo inflation down to 3.1% in June

Consumer prices in the Ku-area of Tokyo rose by 3.1% year over year in June, according to a report issued by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on Friday. The annual inflation rate stood at 3.2% in May.

In March, the CPI in the region was unchanged month on month.

The yearly growth in CPI excluding fresh food stood at 3.2%, while the index excluding food and energy was up 3.8% in June compared to the same month a year ago.
