Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) said on Tuesday that its total sales in the United States observed a modest yearly increase of 0.9% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching 507,269 vehicles. Meanwhile, electric vehicle (EV) deliveries soared by 39.6% in the reported quarter to hit 288,796 units.
In March, the automaker sold 231,335 vehicles, registering an annual rise of 7.7%, while EV sales surged by 44.1% compared to the same month a year prior, reaching 112,608 units.
"We continue to see steady sales from our Toyota and Lexus brands due in part to improved inventory levels and new models like the Toyota 4Runner and Lexus LX hybrid," TMNA Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Templin said.
