A truce commenced on Saturday to halt the ongoing violence that resulted in the deaths of at least 33 Palestinians in Gaza and two individuals in Israel, AFP reported, citing Egyptian sources.
The agreement for the ceasefire was reportedly achieved through mediation by Egypt and it comes after days of intense conflict between Israel and Gaza, marked by rocket attacks and airstrikes.
