Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his view on Monday that the recent mutiny in Russia is an internal issue for Moscow to resolve, cautioning that excessive speculation could prove counterproductive.
"Everyone has a lot of questions about what this actually means, but we don't yet have a lot of answers, and too much speculation right now, I think, could probably be extremely counterproductive," Trudeau told reporters during his visit to Iceland.
Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the public earlier today, praising the Wagner Group for averting bloodshed and emphasizing their demonstrated loyalty to Moscow. He encouraged soldiers to persist in their service by enlisting in the Defense Ministry, deploying to Belarus, or returning home.
