A Florida court judge rejected on Friday a lawsuit by former United States President Donald Trump against his 2016 election opponent Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, former FBI Director James Comey, and a number of other officials. Trump claimed Clinton and others conspired to accuse him of collusion with Russia and discredit him ahead of the 2016 election.
However, the judge stated that Trump did not substantiate the claims that he was harmed by the defendants and that many of the statements they made are protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution. The judge added that Trump was using the lawsuit to "flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him."
