Trump, Starmer agree to meet soon

United States President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer (pictured) spoke on the phone on Sunday, the British government said. Starmer acknowledged Trump's role in securing the Israel-Hamas ceasefire in Gaza and they discussed "the importance of working together for security in the Middle East." They also talked about the economy and trade, although no details were provided in the statement.

Trump and Starmer stressed the importance of "close and warm" bilateral ties. They agreed to meet soon and "looked forward to further discussions then," according to Downing Street.
