Trump accuses Harris campaign of paying for endorsements

United States President Donald Trump accused the Democratic Party of paying for the endorsements of a number of performers and said that former Vice President Kamala Harris "and all of those that received endorsement money broke the law" and that "they should all be prosecuted."

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that the Democratic Party admitted to "paying, probably illegally, eleven million dollars to singer Beyoncé for an endorsement." He added that she "never sang, not one note and left the stage to a booing, angry audience." Trump also alleged that the Democratic Party paid "three million dollars for 'expenses' to Oprah, six hundred thousand dollars to a very low-rated TV 'anchor' Al Sharpton," and others, for whom he said will be named, "for doing absolutely nothing."

The president stated that the fees were "incorrectly stated in books and records," as it is illegal to "pay for an endorsement."
