United States President Donald Trump's administration is aiming to merge departments of Labor and Education, according to reports by Wall Street Journal and Politico, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The new body would need to be approved by Congress and is reportedly a part of a larger overhaul plan, which is believed to be announced before the end of the week.
The Department of Education employs around 3,900 people, while the Department of Labor employs approximately 15,000 workers. Politico reported earlier that the plan would also include the reorganization of the Department of Health and Human Services.
