United States National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett was reported telling CNBC on Monday that President Donald Trump is considering pausing tariffs on all countries except China for a period of 90 days.

White House has issued no comments regarding Hassett's supposed disclosure so far. Earlier today, Trump urged Americans to remain "strong, courageous, and patient" amid a steep market downturn triggered by his newly implemented tariff regime and introduced the term "PANICAN" to describe those he views as reacting fearfully and unwisely.

Following the release of the report, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied rumors that Trump is eyeing any tariff halt.
