Trump announces 6th generation fighter jet F-47

United States President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the US Air Force is "moving forward" with the plan to acquire the "world's first sixth-generation fighter jet" adding that "nothing in the world comes even close to it." The president revealed the name of the new jet as F-47.

"It's something the likes of which nobody has seen before in terms of all of the attributes of a fighter jet, there's never been anything even close to it from speed to maneuverability ... and this has been in the works for a long period of time," the president explained.

Trump also revealed that the US Air Force will award Boeing the contract for the Next Generation Air Dominance Platform. According to Trump the new F-47 plane would be the "most advanced, capable, and lethal aircraft ever built."
