United States President Joe Biden said at a press briefing that he communicated to Israel "not to make the same mistake America made after Bin Laden."

"Don't occupy. Go after the people who did the job," Biden said he told Israel. "It doesn't mean walking away from going after Sinwar and Hamas," Biden added.

He also expressed his disappointment with the work of the US temporary pier that was meant to facilitate Gaza aid deliveries, saying "I was hopeful that would be more successful."
