Trump argues US tariffs are 'kind'

United States President Donald Trump said the US will set tariffs equal to those imposed by other countries. Speaking about trade policies, he described the approach as fair, not aggressive.

"They're reciprocal, so whatever they charge us we charge them," Trump said. He argued that foreign nations have long taken advantage of the US through unfair trade practices. He added that, despite the changes, the tariffs would be "very kind" in comparison.
