Trump bashes UAW's president

EPA-EFE/ALLISON DINNER

Former United States President Donald Trump bashed Shawn Fain, president of the United Auto Workers (UAW), calling him a "stiff" in a post on Truth Social.

Trump accused Fain of selling the American automobile industry "right into the big, powerful hands of China," claiming that the industry would abandon the US in its entirety if he is not elected president of the country. He went on to say that Fain "bought into" United States President Joe Biden's "vision" of electric vehicles, stating that the production of these vehicles not only requires a smaller workforce but will also be completely moved to China.

"I want them to be made in the USA, every type of car, and would require China, and other countries, through tariffs or otherwise, to build plants here, with our workers," Trump said in the post.
