Trump calls Argentina's Milei his 'favorite' president

United States President-elect Donald Trump spoke with Argentina's President Javier Milei on the phone on Tuesday, the Argentine government spokesperson Manuel Adorni wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Adorni quoted Trump as saying that Milei was his "favorite president" but did not share additional details about their phone call. It was previously announced that Milei will meet with Trump and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk at the president-elect's residence in Mar-a-Lago sometime during this week.

Milei, who has been serving as Argentina's president since December 2023, has been one of Trump's most vocal supporters, describing his victory in the 2024 presidential election as "formidable" and vowing his country's support for his agenda.
