Trump calls July jobs report politically 'RIGGED'

United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that last week's US jobs report was deliberately manipulated to harm Republicans.

The president said the timing and scale of the adjustments appeared designed to degrade his record. Nevertheless, he announced he would appoint a new Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) commissioner and promised an "exceptional replacement" for Erika McEntarfer, whom he dismissed on August 1.

"Those big adjustments were made to cover up, and level out, the FAKE political numbers that were CONCOCTED in order to make a great Republican Success look less stellar!!! I will pick an exceptional replacement," he said.
