United States President Donald Trump slammed US media on Sunday, tweeting: "HillaryClinton can illegally get the questions to the Debate & delete 33,000 emails but my son Don is being scorned by the Fake News Media?"
Former Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton's campaign faced a tough time through the summer of 2016 as it was revealed that she deleted over 30,000 emails before handing a private server she used while she was secretary of state to the FBI. Some of the emails were believed to potentially contain evidence to the Benghazi attack.
Clinton was being investigated for using the private server while in office and was never charged. However, former FBI Director James Comey said the private server included 110 emails that had classified information at the time they were sent. During one of their presidential debates, Trump said he would release his tax returns once Clinton discloses the 30,000 deleted emails.
Recently, Donald Trump Jr was attacked in the US media and even called to testify before Congress after he released his email chain with a Russia-linked individual from last year. The person, whom Trump Jr knows from working for Miss Universe contests, offered damaging information on Clinton.
