United States President Donald Trump announced that he had signed an executive order extending the US-China tariff truce for another 90 days, confirming previous reports.

"I have just signed an Executive Order that will extend the Tariff Suspension on China for another 90 days. All other elements of the Agreement will remain the same," Trump wrote on Truth Social. The deadline was set to expire at 12:01 am ET Tuesday, which, had it not been for Trump's extension, would have brought US tariffs on Chinese goods up to a staggering 145%, while Chinese tariffs on US goods were set to surge to 125%.

The timely postponement keeps current tariff levels at 30% and 10% respectively, at least until November 10.
