Former United States President Donald Trump dismissed on Thursday the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the Capitol's decision to subpoena him and wondered why the body did not do that months ago.
"Why did they wait until the very end, the final moments of their last meeting? Because the Committee is a total 'BUST' that has only served to further divide our Country which, by the way, is doing very badly – A laughing stock all over the World?" Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
Earlier in the day, the January 6 Committee decided to summon Trump for a hearing on his involvement in the storming of Capitol Hill that occurred that day in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.
