Former United States President Donald Trump has filed paperwork with the US Federal Election Commission (FEC), seeking to run for president again in 2024.
The move comes just a week after he teased a "very big announcement" was coming on November 15, explaining that he didn't want to say anything before the US midterm elections so as to not detract from the importance of the proceedings.
The former head of state is expected to confirm his bid in his speech at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida later in the evening.
