Trump on China's tariffs: They panicked

United States President Donald Trump commented on Friday on China's decision to impose a 34% tariff on goods imported from the US effective April 10. "CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG, THEY PANICKED - THE ONE THING THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO DO!" he wrote on his Truth Social platform.

China's announcement followed a 34% tariff imposed by the US on Wednesday. Beijing called the measure a "typical unilateral bullying practice" and accused it of endangering global economic development.
