Former United States President and Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential election Donald Trump criticized incumbent President Joe Biden for his statement that Israel should avoid attacking Iran's nuclear facilities, stating that the answer should have been to "hit the nuclear first and worry about the rest later."
"If they're gonna do it they're gonna do it but we'll find out whatever their plans are," Trump said during a campaign event in North Carolina about Israel's possible retaliation against Iran.
The former president also noted that the destructive power of nuclear weapons "is the biggest risk we have," while adding "we have to be totally prepared."
