US President Donald Trump indicated on Thursday that Norway could "pay more" when responding to questions about potential reductions in the proposed 15% US tariff on the Nordic country.
"Well they have a big fund, $2 trillion and they don't have any debt. So, I think they will be probably willing to pay us more than that," Trump joked while talking to reporters at the Oval Office.
Trump further signaled confidence on trade ties with Norway, suggesting no expected friction between the countries.
