United States President Donald Trump stated that it was "a good day in talks and meetings with Russia and Ukraine."
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that he felt that Russia and Ukraine were "very close to a deal," adding that the two sides "should now meet" to "finish it off." He said that "most of the major points are agreed to" and called for an end to "the bloodshed, now," promising that his administration will "be wherever is necessary to help facilitate the end to cruel and senseless war."
