United States President Donald Trump told reporters at the Oval Office on Wednesday that he will extend the deadline to sell TikTok if a deal is not reached by the time the initial extension expires.
"We're gonna have a form of a deal, but if it's not finished, it's not a big deal, we'll just extend it. I have the right to have the deal and to extend it if I want," said Trump.
"There are numerous ways you can buy TikTok, and we will find one that's best for the country," Trump stated in reply to a reporter's question whether it's possible to transfer the social media platform's ownership to a US company while preserving ByteDance's share in it.
