United States President Donald Trump, speaking from the White House, said Washington has planned talks with Iran following recent tensions.
Asked about the possibility of another strike, Trump said, "I hope we are not gonna have to do that. I can't imagine them wanting to do that." He described Iran as acting differently now and suggested they are open to finding a solution. "They wanna meet, they wanna work something out," he said, indicating a shift in Iran's approach compared to previous weeks.
Speaking alongside the US president, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said the meeting could happen "next week or so."
