Trump secures early wins in Indiana and Kentucky

Republican candidate and former president Donald Trump has secured victories in Indiana and Kentucky, AP and CNN projected on Tuesday.

Indiana, with its 11 electoral votes, and Kentucky, with 8, have long been Republican strongholds. Trump carried both states decisively in the 2020 and 2016 elections.

It takes at least 270 electoral votes to win the 2024 presidential election.
