Hyundai's Q1 revenue up 8.2% YoY to $24.52B

Hyundai Motor Company announced on Thursday that its revenue stood at 27.4 trillion South Korean won ($24.52 billion) in the first quarter of fiscal 2021, up 8.2% from the corresponding timeframe a year ago.

Net income reached 1.52 trillion won ($1.36 billion) in the first trimester, soaring 175.4% while operating income surged 91.8% from the same period a year ago to 1.66 trillion won ($1.48 billion). In the first three-month period, gross income gained 18.1% on a yearly basis to hit 5.04 trillion won ($4.51 billion).

The carmaker's stock rose by 1.55% to 229,000 won ($204.97) at 7:25 am CET.
