United States President Donald Trump suggested the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) could investigate Elon Musk's reliance on federal subsidies.

In a Truth Social post, Trump suggested the department, previously headed by Musk, should examine his record, accusing him of taking "more subsidy than any human being in history."

Trump claimed Tesla, SpaceX and other ventures might collapse without taxpayer aid. "Without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa. No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE," Trump claimed.
