United States President Donald Trump revealed on Wednesday that he will make "a big, special announcement on cars" to accompany the upcoming tariffs on foreign automobile businesses.
Speaking at a White House event to mark Women's History Month, Trump insisted that, thanks to the tariffs, "car companies pouring back to our country at levels never seen before." He labeled the date the new measures will take effect as the "new Liberation Day" as "that's when we take back all the money that's been ripped off us for so many decades." He also hailed the fact that his administration has already secured almost $5 trillion in investments.
Furthermore, Trump praised his administration for taking the prices of energy, gasoline, and grosseries "well down," insisting that "we're finally getting costs under control in our country." He then slammed reporting on the matter as "people don't like talking about it because it's good, it's positive."
