Trump to meet with king of Jordan this month

United States President Donald Trump is expected to meet with Jordanian King Abdullah II on February 11, CNN reported, citing a White House official and the Jordanian government.

The meeting was proposed by Adbullah. Last month, Trump floated the idea of relocating the population of the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan, either "temporary or long term." This plan was categorically rejected by both countries.

Foreign ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, along with Palestinian and Arab League officials, met in Cairo and said that Trump's relocation plans could result in the region's destabilization while also worsening the conflict.
