United States President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday about the memorandum he signed which instructs the Education Department to make computer science education for children its priority and allocated $200 million per year towards the cause.
"This week we came one step closer to reaching the goal of aligning the skills taught in our nation’s classrooms with the jobs of the future," Trump wrote and included a video about the Coding for Kids initiative with the caption: "Time to put all American children on pathways towards in-demand and lucrative jobs! #CodingforKids."
