United States Donald Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews that he will speak with Canadian and Mexican leaders on Monday, emphasizing that tariffs will remain and could even "get much worse" unless both countries address the US' trade deposit and stop fentanyl from entering the country.

"We have a deficit with almost every country, and we're gonna change it," Trump said after stepping off Air Force One.

He blamed US debt, which he claimed stands at $36 trillion, on years of assisting other nations without enough appreciation. "We've been helping everybody for years, and to be honest, I don't think they appreciate it, so we're gonna change that," he added.
