United States President Donald Trump announced the formation of the "revamped" Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that the council was "comprised of top experts in their field," saying that they are "highly respected by their peers." He announced that the members are South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Richard Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, adding that he believes they will "do an incredible job."
The president said that HSAC "will work hard on developing new policies and strategies that will help us secure our border, deport illegal criminal thugs, stop the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs that are killing our citizens," and will be under the leadership of US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.
