Former United States President Donald Trump remarked that the way his successor Joe Biden's administration handled the nation's exit from Afghanistan is the "most embarrassing, most incompetent moment in the history of our country."
Speaking at Fox News's town hall event in Iowa, Trump insisted that he "rebuilt our military," which Biden's administration failed to take advantage of in Afghanistan. He also noted the Asian country was well-equipped in the military department, describing it as "one of the biggest arms merchants in the world."
Trump also commented on the relations between the US and China, underscoring the risks of the tensions concerning Taiwan. He insisted that he "had a great relationship with [Chinese] President Xi [Jinping]," whom he warned about not escalating the Taiwan issue. Trump also claimed that, unlike now, the situation was calm when he was president.
