United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that the announcement regarding auto tariffs will be made very soon, just before pharmaceutical levies are imposed.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting, the US president stated that the move is part of a broader strategy to bolster domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports. He didn't specify the exact timeline, just that it will be in "the very near future."

The president emphasized that tariffs help keep US taxes low and have already prompted a wave of reshoring, claiming "maybe $4 trillion worth of companies" are returning to the US.
